Bandon Dunes Golf Resort has a number of PGA Teaching Professionals, led by Kevin Phillips, Director of Instruction, and Grant Rogers, Director of Instruction Emeritus and PGA Master Professional. Our Golf Professionals are experts at teaching you how to hit the variety of shots necessary to play your best golf at Bandon Dunes as well as at your home course.

Individual
Lessons

Private individual golf lessons are available and should be scheduled prior to your arrival. Instruction takes place at our 55-acre Practice Center and can be tailored to any facet of the game you’d like to focus and improve upon.

Group
Golf Lessons

Golf lessons for your group of two or more is a great way to learn key fundamentals in a welcoming social environment. With multiple targets, a wide variety of bunkers and a 1-acre putting green, the Practice Center will test every shot in your group’s bag while one of our teaching professionals helps reinforce the goals of your group lesson.

Playing
Lessons

For many golfers, taking what they have practiced and learned at the range can be tough to translate on the golf course. Playing lessons help with this challenge as well as instructing on overall course management skills. These popular 18-hole, 9-hole, or Par-3 course lessons are designed to be instructive and fun and will help golfers of all ability levels play their best golf on our links courses.

Links
Lessons

Most of our guests have minimal links golf experience. Learning the art of shot-making, playing the bounce, and how wind dictates everything on our six links courses is crucial to embracing the Bandon experience. Links Lessons can be scheduled at a convenient time for groups of 2 or more golfers at the Practice Center and will explore a variety of golf shots including playing golf in the wind, putting, chipping, pitching, bump and run shots and bunkers – covering every facet of how to play your best links golf.

Beginning
Golf Lessons

If you have never played golf or haven’t played recently then schedule a beginning golf lesson. These classic lessons are a great way for individuals and groups to learn a few of the most important golf fundamentals. Golf equipment is provided by request, at no charge.

Junior
Golf Lessons

The Bandon Dunes Practice Center is a perfect place for junior golfers to learn important full-swing and short game fundamentals as well as be introduced to the etiquette of the game. Beginning, intermediate, or advanced golf lessons for individuals or small groups of junior golfers are available upon request.

LINKS GOLF ACADEMIES

The Links Golf Academy is designed to help golfers play their best golf while introducing them to the shot-making requirements to enjoy the links experience. Morning instruction covering full-swing topics, greenside and fairway bunker play, short-game links strategies and putting nuances prepares golfers for afternoon adventures on our championship courses. Our trained PGA Professionals join each playing group providing on-course support, teaching and coaching while reinforcing all of the morning’s lessons.
